A celebration of two-ness.

on

OK, Lucy's not quite 2 yet. But we celebrated early--in the sweltering heat on Saturday--because I might very well be in labor (or nursing a newborn) on her actual birthday.

We had cake.

And lots of juice.

And bubbles.

And aunts willing to help 2-year-olds figure out the mysteries of bubble-blowing.

Not to mention presents.

Including a car, which Beth apparently thought would be a good double-decker vehicle.

Two years old today. Daddy's little girl forever.

I did bake it in a bowl. I have a set of three Pyrex bowls and I baked it in the medium-size one (not sure what the official size of it is). It took forever, like over an hour, to be done in the middle, but it turned out OK in the end. The head is a cupcake.

What a cutie pie! And a very happy birthday to her, too.

How are you feeling these days?

Goslyn,

I'm feeling ready to be done being pregnant, as I'm sure any woman who has ever been 9 months pregnant can attest to. The heat least weekend didn't make me feel any more comfortable either. But it's cooled down some now and I'm just trying to be patient while I count down the days (I hope it's only days, and not weeks!) till this little one's arrival.
